Northwood Food Pantry
Midtown Vineyard partners with The Food Pantry at Northwood through volunteering, donations and offering a prayer table for Food Pantry clients.
The Food Pantry at Northwood has distributed food to our community facing tough economic challenges since 1980. In 2010, the Food Pantry helped feed over 10,000 people.
Hours: Saturday mornings: 9 am to 11:30 am
Here are ways you can volunteer and serve:
- Volunteer as a Helping Hand during hours of operation on a Saturday morning. Or, assist in various preparations prior to Saturday morning. Pray with clients at the Prayer Table.
- Donate Funds and Food Items to help provide families with a variety of needed food items.
- Prepare Baked Goods/Refreshments that are given to our clients and to volunteers who attend the Food Pantry every Saturday morning. Greatly appreciated!
- Every December, the Toy Store offers an opportunity for clients of the Food Pantry, to provide age-appropriate Christmas toys to children in their care. Serves ages newborn to 12 years old.

Faith, Hope & Love
Midtown Vineyard recently participated in this event. It was an opportunity to show the love of Jesus to people in places where they didn’t expect it. It was the body of Christ going to the streets, sharing the joy we have in being followers of Jesus & participating in mission projects serving our community.
Midtown spearheaded a food drive to benefit the Food Pantry at Northwood Christian Church. We collected 95 bags of groceries and presented a concert at Noodles & Co., in Broad Ripple. 15% of the proceeds from food sales were donated to the Food Pantry by Noodles & Co. A vegetable garden was also planted at Northwood Christian Church which enabled the Food Pantry to supply fresh vegetables to its participants.
A neighborhood clean-up was scheduled in the 39th and Graceland area, and water & prayer were offered to those enjoying the beauty of the Monon Trail and Broad Ripple areas as part of the week-long event.

MLK Community Center
Midtown Vineyard has been in partnership with the Martin Luther King Community Center for several years. We have an ongoing ministry that helps stock their food pantry that serves the economically challenged in our community.
Meridian-Kessler Neighborhood Association
Midtown Vineyard Community Church is an active member of the Meridian-Kessler Neighborhood Association. We share information about community events and support MKNA efforts to make our community a better place to live.
“If you say hello to the Spirit of God, you’ve begun to say goodbye to fear.”

Midtown Vineyard is part of the Community of Vineyard Churches (www.vineyardusa.org). Founded in the early 1980’s, there are more than 600 Vineyard churches in the USA and 1,500 worldwide.
We celebrate and share the blessings of the Kingdom of God: forgiveness; healing; deliverance.
With the Bible as our standard for faith and practice, we are on a faith journey led by the Holy Spirit. We seek God’s power to help us live new and fruitful lives and be a blessing to our community.
We encourage and support each other as we encounter God’s presence in everyday life.
Consider the following questions as you think about what church could be like:
- What if church was an adventurous journey with God and others on a mission?
- What if you could sense the presence of God in worship?
- What if Jesus put his Kingdom in you?
God wants a dynamic relationship with you. Come join the journey.
